The Brief: Engage Local Business in Battersea to support Dogs & Cats
After the successful partnership delivering the Muddy Dog Challenge for 10 years, Battersea reached out to Gladiator Events to introduce a new pilot running event in 2025, aimed at connecting local businesses and teams with the charity.
The aim is to encourage community building and foster local partnerships. Gladiator Events has been tasked to help deliver the event in its first year, offering essential equipment and expertise in both safe and impactful event operations, as well as sustainable event practices.
The Event: After-Work Run in the Park
Participants will enjoy the camaraderie of fundraising together while eagerly anticipating the challenge and friendly competition of their 5k run. Gladiator Events have created a scenic route through Battersea Park's stunning green spaces, creating an atmosphere that feels far removed from the city, all while being encouraged by enthusiastic Battersea volunteers.
Once the teams complete their run, participants will welcome friends and family to join in a post-run reception, celebrating their achievements and fundraising efforts within their community.
The Result: A Seamless Launch, Creating Connections for Community and Cause
Over 230 participants from local businesses, the Battersea community, and charity supporters came together for the first ever Bark Run, a relaxed 5k followed by a lively celebratory reception. The event ran smoothly and created a fun, welcoming atmosphere, with participants enjoying beers, hot dogs, and sweet drinks from Dishoom, all while supporting Battersea’s vital work.
“It was such a great event, and went off without a hitch and that’s all thanks to your amazing planning and delivery, so thank you! ”
