The Brief: Designing four brand new, beautiful trekking routes in Norfolk, Suffolk and Bedfordshire

In 2019, to represent their 24/7 mission, East Anglian Air Ambulance created a brand new event; Trek24. The pilot event was a resounding success and EAAA wanted to go bigger and better for 2020. That’s where we stepped in! We designed a 24km and 24 mile route in three different locations: one in Norfolk - the charity’s heartland, one on the Suffolk Coast and one in Bedfordshire, an area where the charity is looking to grow its supporter base. We have now introduced a fourth trek in the Norfolk broads, finishing in their home city of Norwich.

The Event: A 24 mile or 24km Trek

We designed beautiful routes in each location, with 7 rest stops or cheer points along the way.

The Norfolk coast route is a linear route, following the beautiful coastal path from Heacham to Holkham.

The Norfolk broads route follows the Wherryman’s Way from Reedham to Norwich.

The Bedfordshire route is a circular route, starting and finishing at the Hexton Manor Estate, and following the edge of the Chiltern Hills.

The Suffolk route follows the stunning Suffolk Coastal path from Aldeburgh, through Southwold and finishing at beautiful Sotterley Hall.

The Result: Fantastic Feedback and Growing the Series

We have grown this event from one to four flagship treks following fantastic feedback from the 2021 treks.

We look forward to continuing supporting more walkers in 2023 and beyond!

Well done to you and your team! It was by far the best organised, sign posted and set up event I have ever taken part in of this sort. You made it so easy for us. Genuinely loved it.
