This weekend, more than 2,800 participants laced up their boots and took on six fundraising challenge events across the UK, supported by a team of 57 crew who showed up, adapted, and got the job done, whatever the day threw at them.
Across Royal Ramble, Trek24 Norfolk, Trek26 Jurassic Coast, Pier to Pier Norfolk, and Walk for Parkinson's Kent and Staffordshire, participants walked more than 40,000 miles, ate over 4,000 biscuits, and raised ever-growing funds for some brilliant causes. That's one and a half times around the world, made possible by the determination of participants, the dedication of volunteers and crew, and the collective effort of everyone involved.

It wasn't a smooth weekend by any stretch. At Trek26 Jurassic Coast, winds were strong enough to shift portable toilets, so the team quickly ratcheted them down and adapted rest stops to operate from vans rather than gazebos.
Across the country, complex venues, changing conditions and last-minute operational demands kept teams on their toes. Our Event Managers took it all in their stride, adapting plans where needed and ensuring participants received the experience they came for.

The moments that made it worthwhile?
At the Royal Ramble, UK Power Networks announced an incredible £130,000 raised for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, with the event already confirmed to return in 2027.
At Trek24 Norfolk, the East Anglian Air Ambulance helicopter landed at Sandringham, giving participants the chance to meet the heli team before they were tasked and called away to exactly the kind of emergency everyone had been fundraising to support.
And at Walk for Parkinson's Kent, almost 300 people danced to 'Walking on Sunshine' before setting off around the park together.

Weekends like this are a reminder of what challenge events can achieve: bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, and raising vital funds for causes that matter.
If you want your supporters to have an experience they'll remember, backed by an event team that can adapt to whatever the day brings, we'd love to hear from you.
